Canadian Mapping Curriculum Map

Students will learn about the different regions, provinces, territories, communities, bodies of water, natural resources, mapping symbols, and kinds of maps. They will develop skills such as locating places on a map in a variety of ways, labeling and coloring maps, recognizing different types of maps, and determining the characteristics of a region and its economic influence on Canada.

This resource is packed with ideas and activities on teaching mapping skills about Canada while extending student knowledge about their own country.
