Twenty-four-word families featuring 3 and 4 letter word families for each of the 5 vowels. There are twenty-one lessons for 3 letter word families and three lessons for 4 letter word families.

Students will become familiar with the rhyming words in each word family by completing the worksheets that focus on printing the sound block and using picture cues to write the letter pattern. A reinforcement activity will check their knowledge of the sound block and their ability to decode words. The exercises will also strengthen reading, writing, and spelling skills. For each family, three parallel activities are included.
